What is and is not complete
The large player directory is principally a 1974–2026 dataset. Earlier football is covered by a selective set of sourced profiles and features. A career date range does not establish appearances in every intervening season. This is an expanding archive, not a claim to describe every player who ever played.
Editorial transparency
The new historical features use AI-assisted research and writing. They link the factual sources used and separate commentary from the record. Independent human review is not claimed. Earlier automatically assembled profiles are retained as research material and are not promoted as finished features.
Photographs have individual source and rights notes where established. An image being available online does not by itself grant permission to reuse it.
